Brake drums - 9" or 10"?

Model: Cherokee (XJ)
Engine: 4.0
Brake drums - 9" or 10"?
Basically, is there a way to tell without measuring them? I need to order parts and I'm not with the vehicle, I need to buy them where I am and take them with me. I've been told that 10" drums have vanes/ribs on the outside and 9" don't, but, again, I'm not with the vehicle so can't look. Is there a way I can get the size from chassis number or registration? (Year 2000 U.K. X-registered 4.0 Orvis auto, if anyone might be able to just tell me straight off)
