Eh........just smack a fitting in the hole and re attach the tube. Use any old junction block for the brake lines. 15 min job.

Stop listening to whomever told you that. The free diagrams in parts dealer websites are more useful.

That coffee table just gave me the munchies.

As far as the brake lines go, I would check the rest of the hard lines. If they all are in similar condition to that one, you're more than likely gonna have pinholes developing in the lines sooner or later. Definitely not good if you blow out a brake line when you're on the trail or away from home.

If you'll take .02 from me, don't screw around with brake lines. They are high pressure lines that are under constant pressure. Unlike fuel, or vacuum lines, they are critical to your safety.

Make sure you have the right parts, inspect the the whole run and replace as needed.

The 'bolt' holding the line splitter to the axle is actually a vent breather port for the axle. But I'm sure you figured this out by now.

All the best,

JR

It's not a separate item, it's part of the rear brake hose

Its the rear brake line.

Search "rear brake hydraulic hose" on rock auto. Your local parts stores will also be able to get them.

when i replaced the mc to rear BRAKE line we had to use 2 spliced with a coupler. i learned at autozone there are 3 different flares in BRAKE tubing. it took a while to get it all right.i got rid of flaring stuff yrs ago. i just buy it.
make sure your guy at az is as good as mine was!!!
