Brake problem.

My money is on freegdr! I had this same problem and replaced the entire brake system, from front calipers and lines, to rear cylinders and shoes, and everything in between. It turned out to be my rears were way out of adjustment from when I installed them. I learned my lesson, but I have all new parts. And my pedal is up.

Had the same problem. Brake light has been on since I bought my jeep. I ended up replacing my booster and master since I couldn't find just a master. Fixed my problem and shut off the brake light. But in the process I striped the bleeder on the drivers side. I've replaced the passenger side so its time for the drivers. For one thing I can lock up now when I couldn't before. Unknown age on rear brakes and front pads were replaced before the po parked it for the two years before I bought it. Had 185xxx when I bought it and now it has 190xxx

What does it mean if i pump the breaks but they never get tougher to press down? And if i pump them enough my brake light shuts off?

You start in rear always pass rear, drivers rear,pass front,drivers front -pump 3 times hold open bleeder air expells close bleeder let pressure off pedal three times each wheel checking fluid in master after each wheel. Rears must be adjusted b4 attempting .
