I drove my jeep and the rear brakes were scraping and squeaking over 15 miles an hour. so I loosened the adjusters as much as I can, and the tires still rotate about one turn by hand. ill test drive tomorrow.

ok I drove it and it still made noise, sooo, back on the jack stands she went. I took the rear drivers tire off and found the adjustment arm was down and scraping the drum. it cut a nice groove in it. that little cable plate that's held in by the top spring, wasnt set in the hole and I couldn't get it in or keep it in. it was messed up thus not pulling the lever up.I had a new one and put in in. hopefully do the other side tomorrow if its not raining.

Mine did the same. The scraping got louder during turns leading to several mis-diagnoses, lol. Took the drum off and there it was. Cut a nice groove in the drum.

havnt test drove redmuck yet, started to change the tranny fluid and had to order the drain plug, since the gasket on the old one is shot. wont get them until Tuesday though,so ill see about a rubber washer or somthing,so it doesn't leak.
