i broke my drivers side u joint but i also broke somthing else not shore wat tho its in same area as u joint any ideas wat it is

The shock from a busted u-joint travels down the shafts. Time to pop the diff cover and eye-ball the carrier, ring and pinion, and the spider gears.

cant get pics atm im snowed in lol cant get in 4wd lol i no axle shaft isnt bad its right at the left tire u joint

Probably destoyed the yoke(s) on the stub shaft.

if i wasn't snowed in and busy the rest of the week i'd come down and swap the shaft out for ya. ( i keep spares with me at all times) if you can go to a junk yard and pick up a set of shafts from any 97+ Jeep those will have the bigger 760 joint

incorrect, they will however have the larger 297 joint that is upgradable to the spicer 760 joint, but comes at a cost. they are quite expensive.
but they didn't come stock with 760s.

Yokes are not replaceable. You need a new stub shaft or a new axle shaft.....you really should replace both.

yea but my pinion gear is also shot has lot of play and pinion seal non stop leaking its a new pinion seal also
