It's pretty easy to remove a window (here is how I do it):

*Lower the window 3/4 of the way.

*Remove inner door panel (relocate/unplug electric window controls and door opener), remove arm rest.

*Remove the window scraper at the bottom of the window opening (probably need a flat head screw driver here).

*Remove the window seal at the back of the window opening, it starts near the triangular window at the top of the window channel, just pull it out. When you get it out all the way down the back, you can pull it out by pulling upward (but not hard enough to rip it).

*Remove the window seal at the front of the window opening, it starts at the top of the triangular window at it's top. Pull it away and pull it out by pulling upward - again - not hard enough to rip it.

*Remove the single bolt at the bottom/center of the window.

*The window can now come out through it's regular opening in the door (NOT THROUGH THE SIDE OF THE DOOR). You'll have to play with the angle it comes out, don't get mad, get glad.

Installation is the reverse of the removal.

I would check Craigslist or your local junkyard for a piece of glass. The junkyard should have one for you.
