seems like the choppy ness is half way down my exhaust manifold, muffled clapping
Verify you got the plug wires back in the right place and seated fully on the plugs.

I still have the closed system with the tees from the HCV to the tank on the firewall.

I've got a whole bunch of projects on a whole bunch of vehicles before that conversion. First off is new CV axles in the K1500.
