LOL I have always wanted to rig a pin switch to the door of an old junker with a really nice stereo that is filled with explosives. Break the window then open the door and BOOM! that should slow down the local car thieves for a while......... If only it was legal........

I had a husky/ beagle mutt when I was a little kid and to this day if I sit on the back tailgate/ cargo area I get the hair on me. Just got a new dog so I ripped the cargo carpet out.

it happened in SF right around the corner from where I work as a bouncer. the po-po had even circled that block at least five times that night and didn't see anything. I also didn't have the faceplate on rather it was in the center console. nothing of value was visible so I guess the perp just took a chance and got "lucky."

grrr.

Having owned a soft top TJ for years when living in Chicago I learned- NEVER LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR CAR YOU DON'T MIND LOSING. Worked well and out of habit I never lock my doors in my vehicle (soft tops are expensive and razor blades/knifes are cheap...). Always take faceplate & MP3 player inside with me.
