broken lock
Hey so I am still new to this and this is my first jeep I just got it yesterday. Its a 93 2 door cherokee and the lock just quit working. The door is stuck closed because I cannot unlock it. I am trying to take apart the door panel and I got as far as taking off the three screws on the inside door handle but after thar in stuck... Any suggestions? Thanks!

do you know a tow truck driver, or do you have AAA/CAA?
they can use a tool to unlock it from inside the door by going through the window opening.

if it's just the key tumbler, you can easily replace it.
if you're talking the thumb button, that comes off too.
but if it's the rod mechanism inside the door, you'll have to remove the panel and find the bad rod and replace that. everything comes apart separately. but you'll most likely need to open the door to do this.
