Hey all - last week I started hearing a buzzing coming from behind the left side of the driver's dash, maybe generally behind and below the headlight switch. I worked the headlight switch and the turn signal, but nothing changed. It only starts around 30 and gets louder around 35/40. I stuck my head under there hoping to find a relay or two to try and pull (since it sounds like a buzzing relay) but with all the other wiring I've got running through there, nothing was obvious.

What makes this so hard to diagnose is that it only happens when I'm going 30 or above and there's only so much monkeying around behind the dash I can do while driving.

Any ideas? Maybe the fact that it happens at speed is a clue of some sort?

It's a 95 w/4.0 and AX15.

Here's a video - there's some other loud stuff going on but you can hear the buzzing pretty clearly. Gets pretty aggressive at 55!

It could be the speedometer and the cable if yours has one , if you do I would try lubing the cable and see if that helps.

OK, I'll give it a shot. It does seem to be constant buzzing, not really changing if I maintain speed or not, and no louder if I change speed quickly - think that still might be it? Really sounds like something electrical......

Update - I was messing around up under the dash running yet another power wire through that little hole in the firewall above the gas pedal - and I haven't heard it since. I really would have liked knowing what it was (and fixing it properly) but I am SO glad it has quit! I'll come crying back if it starts again.
