Hi everyone, I have a 98 xj that makes an obnoxious buzzing noise when I turn the vehicle off. It is coming from under the driver side dash. I replaced the headlight switch thinking that was it, but it didn't fix it. If I turn on the headlights or turn the key to accessory, the buzzing stops. I can't figure this out, anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

 

I found it, but I don't know what it is.

Its a silver electrical box with part # 56009324 made in mexico

Thanks. I unplugged it, and all my lights are still functioning. I dont care if my headlights don't stay on for a little after I turn them off. I don't think I'll replace the module.

 

Saved a few bucks to.

 

Don't blame us when you leave your headlights on and run the battery down, since you removed that buzzer.

I may pick one up at a junkyard, but I don't think I'm going to pay for a new one. Looked pretty expensive

 

I guess you could file a lawsuit claiming that you got bad advice from the CF overlords and be awarded rights to their avatars. The courts have done stranger things.....

It's just a cry for attention. All he has to do is turn the key to RUN and the windows will work. Same effort, good results.
