Bypass intercooler on 2.5TD

Bypass intercooler on 2.5TD
I have patched the intercooler hose in my 2.5TD. As I did so I discovered a few things.
1. The hoses add up to nearly 1.5m of twisted and bent tubing with a few chocking points.
2. The intercooler is pretty small and not in a well ventilated area.
So, I would like to measure the temperature fall in the intercooler loop, but don't have the tools for that.
I would like to measure the pressure drop as well, but again, no tools.
What would happen if I connected the turbo directly to the engine? Higher temps in the intake, but greater pressure as well. At anything over half full throttle mixes to much diesel in anyway.
Anyone tried this? It would be easy to make an nice round curve from the turbo to the inlet without the intercooler. It is under 0C outside here until march as well.

Dont bypass your intercooler thats what cools the air going into the motor from the turbo with out the intercooler its going to run like crap and wont boost right

do not bypass your intercooler it will cause higher intake temps and it could throw a check engine light... and run like junk
