A/C blows cold, then hot

Well, I still have a leak somewhere, and we are not having any luck finding it. Pulling good vacuum and the sniffer is giving us no help. I have to believe that it is in the evaporator. I dont want to do the r&r, nor do I want to pay to have it done. Might just nurse it thru the rest of the season and find it a new home.

Blowing cold then not. Shut it off for awhile and it blows cold again is symptomatic of low refrigerant charge. This causes the coil to run too cold, below freezing. Then condensation freezes and soon the coil is a block of ice. Then it thaws and the cycle is repeated. A little refrigerant will do the trick

Don't sweat an evap core, it's really a pretty easy job. The dash has 6 main bolts to the body and firewall. You'll need to drop the steering wheel. Disconnect all hvac in the engine bay from the fire wall. Undo all interior plugs under the dash. Swing the dash out towards the passenger seat. Make sure all hvac box nuts are off.and that's it. Pull it out. Open it up and lift the tge old one out, put the new one in and button everything up again. Recharge system and your gtg.
It's seems like a lot if you haven't done it, but it's really a very simply job, and overall there's not much at all that gets worked on.
Anyhow that's my 2 cents for your consideration

My evap leak was behind the wall where the tube becomes the core.
