While in there make sure your condenser fan is in good condition as well. If that stops working you'll have poor cooling at low speed and at idle. (I have that problem on my daily driver but that fan is such a PITA to get to on that vehicle I just live with it.)

After a tedious email exchange with a Denso Engineer, I am going to wait until I have the compressor in hand before getting PAG oil.
The reference I found for oil on the Denso websites was for Europe, and stated that all Denso R134a compressors use Denso ND8 Pag Oil, a PAG 46 oil. They also said something like 75% of their compressor returns are due to incorrect oil.
When I inquired, the Engineer came back and told me the compressor comes with 4.5 oz, and it needs to be drained to between 2 and 2.5 oz left in the unit before installing. No mention of what viscosity.
After a few more rounds he said it uses PAG 100, and later attached a chart I'd seen before that said it comes with SP15 and claimed that was PAG 100 oil.

Now, I could me misinterpreting this, but Saden says SP-15 is 80, although the SP-20 was 100 it was replaced by SP-15

So, better safe than sorry, will wait until after I get it and see if the tag lists the oil.
