Default A/C disconnect tool question

What size A/C disconnect tool is needed to pull the line from the evaporator to the accumulator? Seems like 3/4 is too small, 7/8 is too large...Are there metric sizes? I've never had a problem like this before. 2000 XJ

What set do you have? Looks like 5/8 is the one used in most of the examples I've seen.

Are you using the plastic or aluminum ones? Sometimes having both help. Plastic ones work sometimes and the aluminum ones work other times. The ac lines are a bit of a pain to get apart.

Thank you for the reply. It was a 3/4, but the tool that I had from Harbor Freight was actually too thick to fit into the disconnect. Harbor Freight strikes again. Tried to pull a vacuum on the system, turns out my evaporator is cracked, always wanted to pull the dashboard on one of these things.🙄
