Hi Ken, not sure I just posted about a little fan problem I noticed when I decided to hose down the condensor to see if it made any change in the inside air temp.. What is happening is the fan shut off when I put a hose on it through the grill through the condensor rad, and then to fan?? after about 30 sec. it spins again?? It spin`s very freely when the truck is not running and warmed up I am trying to see the best way to check the fan .. I want to make sure this is not a problem maybe it is not cooling down the condensor enough?? The liquid line and dryer/accumulater was delivered just checking everything before I get it evacuated .. Bill

Would the dryer/accumulater or liquid line prevent the temp from going below 60 inside vehicle cabin?? Just trying to make sure I explained it correctly so I am chasing the right problem?? Sorry to bother or rehash everything but I am a hobbist and I know you know just everything their is to know on these jeeps but I am willing to take direction and learn lol!! thanks again Bill

not meaning to drag up an old thread but did you ever figure out the issue you were having? I’m having the same exact problem Iv even replaced the entire AC system including condenser and evaporator.. Iv taken it to a AC professional to have them charge it and the coldest they could get it was 57 degrees.

The OP seven hasn't been around here since 2014 so I doubt you'll get an answer. Please start a new thread.

2000/2001 Jeep Cherokee 4.0/6CYL - 4WD

Direct from service manual which I suggest all Cherokee owners accumulate. It has saved me many times and exact part numbers are a necessity when utilizing RockAuto

8.1 is too much oil for a 2001 which can for sure cause improper cooling temperatures.
