Alright so about a week ago I was driving home from job A and everything was working fine. I stopped by the apartment to let the dogs out and when I got back in the truck about 20 minutes later, the A/C no longer turns on. What could be the issue??

It doesn't turn on at all. Nothing. I've checked all fuses and replaced the relay just in case. Still a no go.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Nothing meaning......fan runs but no cold air from vents? or the blower motor is not running to push air out of the vents?

What year Xj will help also.

 

It's a 96. Sorry. And there is no air at all.

 

I would start by checking "All" the fuses with a 12v test light, then unplug the motor under the hood passenger side firewall and try to run it with a exturnal 12v source. If both of these check out ok I would check to see if you are gitting power from the switch and also check the blower motor resistor.
