Cool A/C on max

I have a 2000 XJ 4.0 I6 w/310k and the heater core has just been replaced.
my issue is the A/C works but when I change it to max A/C she blows hot, without max on she blows about 40°.
has anyone had this issue or know what the problem could be? like I said A/C works but not on max A/C, fan blows just hot or worm not 40°.

thanks in advance for the help.

My guess is something wrong with the selector switch. Otherwise, all MAX does is switch to recirculated air.

now everything is hot like 60° to 65° taking her in to the mechanic ASAP, Thanks again
