A/C problems, won't blow cold
Okay, well I just bought this 1999 Jeep Cherokee Classic, and the air only blows as cold as the outside air when the A/C is on full blast. So I bought a recharge kit with gauges and filled it up, and it's holding freon fine, not losing any.
The A/C line from the condenser is freezing cold and icing up, but none of the other A/C lines are getting cold at all.
Is this a bad low pressure, high pressure, or cycle switch? Or is there something more wrong. I've read a million different diagnosis to this problem, but I don't know how to narrow it down.
The compressor is kicking on but it's cycling on and off every 5 seconds or so, intermittently. Anyone know what the deal could be?

Normally and icing line indicates a restriction just upstream (towards compressor high side output) of the iced up area. If this is the high pressure line out of the condenser it indicates a probable restriction in the condenser.

First make sure that you didn't over fill it, that is worse than being low. Did you fill it with the engine running? Hook your gauge up and start the engine turn a/c on and if it starts cycling see if the gauge moves with the cycling. If it does see if it drops to the low side, if it does and that is when the compressor kicks off, you are still low add only when the compressor is running, add till the compressor stays on. If the gauge does not cycle with the compressor than you have a blockage in the condenser, looked for a kinked hose, if you can not find anything you will have to take it a shop and have them vacuum out the system and diagnose the a/c. Hope this helps. I went through this couple summers ago.
