A/C R12 to R134?
Ok so I started to look over my A/C system because it doesnt work. I mean it doesnt work at all. There are parts that are broken. I dont even know what they go to or anything.
Ok so I am wondering. I have a 97 with a full working A/C system. Could I be so bold as to take everything I need from the 97 and put it on my 95? Is that a big problem? Or am I able to just go out and do it?
I would like to have a working A/C Seeing that I now have a working blower motor. I am also trying to not spend any money if I dont have too.

Your 95 is R134, where is the R12 question?
I stand corrected, Grand Cherokees switched in 93. Yours may/could/should be R12.

Well if it is a R134 then what goes on the end of those things? They go next to the radiator on the passenger side.

Looks like the PO cut/crimped the metal lines and the system has been open long enough to rust both inside and out.....I'd say those need to be replaced.

Gunna guess it connects to the radiator? Aight so whats the best way to disconnect the tube/pipes off? Oh and taking off the pipes on the complete system off my 97 without braking them?

How do things compare between a '95 and a '97? It may be a real headache swapping one to the other. I'm guessing those metal lines are, or were at one time, attached to the condenser in front of the radiator.

Yeah, that is the key part of the post, isn't it.
Free cold A/C. Let me know if you find any.

read up on a/c systems, the system being left open that long prob. has internal problems the 95 is most likely r134 12 &134 primarily use different seals altho it's been done they fail if interchanged resulting in repair next year a project like this requires evac and recharge=cost
