Cali emissions swap to fed. emissions

Cali emissions swap to fed. emissions
I have an 00cherokee with cali emissions and im planing on swapping the motor and just going to swich to fed. Emissions and was wondering if the dash side of the harness will plug into a 98 ecu and be compatible with the 98 motor side ofand the harness. Or will i have to rewire the whole jeep?
