Drill and tap a bigger size.

Drill weld drill and tap to original size.

Replace.

I would not use a helicoil in a brake part. Too much vibration and heat cycling.

Mine has one bolt that's bigger than the others. Threads strip out sometimes it happens.

Drill it out and cut some threads in it. Just make sure you use the same length bolts.

Had the same problem. Used a heli coil. Easy job. No problems so far.

I have a helicoil in mine that's lasted a year and a half so far. Just make sure to take your time and do the helicoil right, and it should work ok

Good to hear that heli can hold up under these kinds of thermal and loads. I get, perhaps, a little too conservative when it comes to brakes.

I put a helicoil in my daughter's caliper.
I think that was 7 years ago.

Still works.
