I was rebuilding my lower end. Sent it to the machine shop and got all clearances correct. I get the motor home and start putting it back together. All was going well until I tried to put the thrust bolt in the cam. The bolt was too big for the inside of the cam. I know there was a change to the thrust plate in 99. I put a Mellon’s stock cam I believe it was the MC1377. My question is what is the fix for this issue? Do I have to get another cam or is there a bolt set up that does the same thing as the thrust bolt and holds the cam in place. Please let me know of some solutions or a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I need to get this thing going so I can get the wife’s car back from my son.
