cam rear expansion plug
I am having trouble finding a frost/expansion plug for the rear of the block at the back of the cam.
Does anyone have a dorman number that will work. I measured it at rangeing from 2.122 to 2.125 I suppose it out of round now that I pounded it out.
Any help would be great
Thanks

Was this the one at the end of the cam? There are a couple different sizes on the back of the block. The water jacket frost plug is just over 2". When I measure the
block it comes in at 2.118 so I guessing what I need is 2.128 for proper press fit.

Even after researching, I tapped mine out while I had the motor out and changed my freeze plugs. I was wondering why the brass kit came with one steel plug. The size difference is nearly un observable with the naked eye.
When I tapped it out, I knew it was at the back of the cam so I was very careful... might've given the back of the cam a few little taps. Either way, I was sure not to press that plug in any further than necessary. Luckily I had good practice after replacing the 6 plugs on the block already.
Has anyone ever had negative experiences with this? I never would've touched the darn thing had I known better...unfortunately there is no literature in the FSM or Chilton....
