Default can anyone help me????

I have a 2000 (xj) cherokee sport. on the dash i have a light for part time and a light for full time 4x4. but when i shift to 4-hi it will only go into part time. How do I get it into full time 4x4? any help???? thanks

yes it has a 3.5 superlift and a SYE. Does that make a diffrence?

when a friend of mine lifted his after he did the t/c drop his quit showing that it was going into 4wd but it doesnt have any problem getting around in the woods.He was told that it was a adjustment thing.

Does it have a 242 transfercase or a 231. The dash is the same with each (saved DC 3 cents that way)but the 231 does not have a fulltime option thus the fulltime light will not come on.
