Default can this be fixed

hey i just bought a 88 cherokee for 50 bucks cause it was in a front end reck on the passenger side the frame is ben alittle but i was wondering if it was able to still be use a a trail rig i will have pics up later i just want to leave it if possible let me knw

Anything is fixable, especially if its a $50 Jeep. Do you know anyone with a welder? It will be necessary if the unibody is bent.

yea haha so what can i do to fix it?thats the pics of wat the damages is the motor alittle pushed over but im pulling it anyways to do a full gasket set and cam

Call around... A body shop can pull that back into shape for you.

heres what id do put 4x4s along the frame and a hyd jack between and jack them apart when the motors out

I like freegdr's idea. If you take a $50 dollar Jeep to a professional welding or body shop, you are totally defeating your great deal you got. Guys in those professions make about double that amount an hour just in labor. Try to fix it yourself and hopefully you or a buddy of yours welds.

yea i want to fix it myself its not going to body shop haha do i even have to fix that to use it for a trail rig?and will the jack idea straighten the wrinkle in the uni body?

should ive never done it but cant make it worse lol

a big hammer.... just pound it straight (as possible) or tie it to a tree and back up lol.... for a cheap its "good enough" trail rig it should be ok. my main worry would be how straight the front cross member is to securely hold a radiator and be straight.

the right way would be a body shop... if they just pull the frame it shouldn't be to bad. shop by me charged 50$ a pull, something like that should only be 2-3 pulls... then once the "frame" is straight massage the inner fender well to bolt up a fender and straight hood and let her rip... lol, i would at least price it, if you are going to be putting money into it its worth fixing the right way....

i would take it to the body shop if it was going to be on the street but its not it going to get beat up its a trail rig so i want to save my money for other places like lockers motor work cooling ect.. haha but i think i try to straighten the iner fender well so i can put a fender on it

I have a couple suggestions.
1. have fun with a hammer.
2. get heat and hammer
3. get a f350 and heat the metal and have the f350 pull and you can try to straighten it out.
4. get a big chain come-a-long and crank it heat it crank it heat it hit with hammer and fun.
5. get it running and moving so you can make it a trail rig.
