Default Can I swap out a ‘95 trans crossmember/mount on my ‘00?

2000 XJ. I banged up my trans crossmember when I was wheeling and my friend gave me a crossmember off his parts Jeep. It’s a 95. The trans mount didn’t line up to the holes in the crossmember, I guess because some are offset and some are centered?

Can I just grab the mount off his ‘95 and use the ‘95 crossmember on my 2000? Or is there a good reason for the difference?

You can use the 95 mount and 95 crossmember together on the 00-01.

You can use the 00-01 mount on a 99 or older if you also use the crossmember for the 00-01, or you use the 99 and older mount on the 00-01 if you use the crossmember for the 99 and older. Use the wrong mount or crossmember and the transmission wont line up.
