Can I swap out a 95 trans crossmember/mount on my 00?
2000 XJ. I banged up my trans crossmember when I was wheeling and my friend gave me a crossmember off his parts Jeep. Its a 95. The trans mount didnt line up to the holes in the crossmember, I guess because some are offset and some are centered?
Can I just grab the mount off his 95 and use the 95 crossmember on my 2000? Or is there a good reason for the difference?

You can use the 95 mount and 95 crossmember together on the 00-01.

Different part numbers. The 00-01 mount is centered. The 99 and older are offset. You can use the 00-01 mount on a 99 or older if you also use the crossmember for the 00-01, or you use the 99 and older mount on the 00-01 if you use the crossmember for the 99 and older. Use the wrong mount or crossmember and the transmission wont line up.
