If I was to go with any LED headlights I would use the new Holley LEDs.
I live where there is snow, so Hella H4 E codes are the way to go for me.

I have new Sylvania halogens in now—night and day difference from OEM brightness. Don’t like the over-styling of the LED options, I’ve had a couple of sets.

Were I to go the LED route again, I’d invest in a 4x6 LED headlight conversion setup, retaining the OEM look while achieving LED’s brightness.

Not sure how a bulb can make a night and day difference given the fact that the replacement is a halogen bulb and is the same wattage. Maybe your OEM bulb was bad. Maybe an illusion because it's a different temperature on the Kelvin scale.

There are differences in output between different halogen bulbs. The brighter "high-output" bulbs are sacrificing longevity for a bit more brightness.

The aftermarket housings, especially the glass e-code ones, put more of the light on the road with a much better cutoff. I've have a set of the autopal e-code housings that I run with 55/80 H4 bulbs and a headlight harness. Great pattern and cutoff. I never get flashed and the high-beams are amazing.

It's the inconsiderate jerks running LED light bars under their bumpers as driving lights, that are just blinding everyone. They're getting better, but some of the LED and HID retrofit bulbs that go in existing housing have horrible patterns. DOT has pulled some off the market, and Europe has banned most of them.
