Why do u need a new/different bottle? Can't the old bottle be converted? An open system bottle must fill/empty coolant from the bottom and must fill/empty air at the top.

I did a flush just the other day and added a T into the heater core hose and attached my garden hose to it and turned the water on and had it flush out through the top of my radiator and into a bucket, did that with the Jeep running for about 5minutes untill all clear water came out. Was the sufficent enough or do I need to do something special for the core?

Thanks again!
I would deff flush heater core separate from system if big chunks get dislodge and into rad tank it wont be easy to get them out . Been here did that wasn't pretty..

So I'm assuming I need to remove the heater core to do this, correct?

The tube below the rad cap connects to the bottom of the bottle. The top of the bottle open to the atmosphere. Any other ports on the bottle get plugged/capped.

No just hook hose to each nipple and flush with garden hose ,with a nozzle on the end to get a little pressure going thru it see what comes out other hose .

Green Lines=convert current bottle?
Okay so the the nipple on bottom of overflow goes to the capped off line below the radiator cap. and then replace the cap with a hose thats essentially pointed at the ground?
Red lines=Flush heater core?
So I would be putting in a hose attached to both nipples, then hook a garden hose up to one side of it to flush it all out, then put the garden hose to the other side and flush it from that side as well?

Red line will hook heater core up directly to motor eliminating all the hose and pipe that's factory . Then from caped nipple on radiator run a hose to bottom nipple of tank . From top nipple on tank run a hose down to area between body and starter. Cap on pressure bottle remains on bottle for adding coolant if needed. Your goint to need adapter to go from large nipple on tank to smaller nipple on radiator . Or just buy a aftermarket bottle and some hose and be good to go.

Ah gotchya! I might just go with an aftermarket bottle seeing as how mine is possibly 23 years old anyways lol. So with this setup (running the heater core directly to the motor) am I going to need a newer tstat housing or will my current one work?

Currents works fine ...When mounting over flow get it low enough so hood don't hit lid ...

Got it. Thanks for all the help! I'll go to Napa or order the parts in the next day or two and post back with my results. Or with any other questions I may encounter
