Not trying to discourage you, just want you to know what your getting in to.

Yeah I know about the center consel thing, I did this to my last 98 Cherokee after it flipped, though I don't know how much road noise b/c I never got to drive it on the road ever again. Last night I ordered the POR-15 Super Starter Kit, which comes with everything I need. Today I'm going to go buy a respirator, and some HERUCLINER bedliner for the interior. I am also going to look for leather seats and a new center consel, as the mounts for my cc are broken so if you put your arm on it it leans over.

Great choice for the interior, I Herculined the interior of a 75 Chevy I had and I loved it, I also did the rear of my Cherokee but I left the front carpet in and the wife ... er ... bosses request.

Pics of my rear cargo area are in this thread...

Default Bedliner question's

Got a couple questions, will bedliner smell when it start's getting hot outside or inside the jeep? Also whats the difference between Duplicolor and Herucliner? All I really noticied was a price difference so I went ahead and bought Duplicolor, I've seen it used on Xtreme 4x4.

Default POR-15 got here but had to send it back!!!!!

Well today the long awaited POR-15 arrived, unfortunately the F***ING package was completely soaked in the liquids that were in the box. I'm so pissed off, now I have to call them and tell them what happened and that I told UPS to take it back, hopefully this is a company that wants to please their customers and they will ship me a new one and make sure to close the ****ING bottles. But I know that POR-15 will work for what I need, so I can wait until I get the new goods, besides I'm doing this in June. Also I bought the Herucliner bedliner for the inside of my Jeep. Can't wait untill June.......

Default POR-15 arrived yesterday

Well now I am truely excited about this, the first week of June begins the teardown and gutting of the '98 xj. I have decided to sandblast areas that have an rust and then POr-15 them and then Herculine the interior. Maybe even get a Rusty's Offroad 3" lift kit? After I finish all the work I will probably call the glass guy to reseal the front windsheild. The Jeep will be garaged for about a month for me to finish, I want to take it nice and easy and do it right once.
