Cascade of Electrical Issues!
1994 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0L 6 Cylinder 4×4
First it was the temperature gauge. Very soon after replacing a leaking radiator and installing a new thermostat just for good measure. Most of the time, coming to a complete stop will cause the gauge to drop down to 100 as if the engine is fully cooled. After I start moving again and a few seconds pass it will return to regular - and correct - temperature after fluctuating a few times.
Then it was the horn. Total loss. It just stopped working and hasn't worked since.
Everything else has just been piling on since. The buzzer, the one that goes off when you open your door with key in ignition or lights on? Yeah, well long story short it buzzes the entire time the key is in ignition. And then my backlighting went out. One morning I kicked on my headlights and my gauges and gear selectors lit up like usual.. for a few seconds and then went out. Nothing since.
For context whatever condition the electricals are I have no knowledge of. And I can only assume they were already like then when I aquired the car. Which was heavily used and abused before me, poor thing.
Only other seemingly unrelated electrical issue is the reverse lights don't seem to work when 3 brake light is attached.
ANY information, suggestions or advice is appreciated.
Thank You

2 major lessons for me.
1. Check and clean all the grounds you can find. Just cause it's connected doesn't mean there's not years of grime in there blocking the connection.
2. Check all fuses w/ a meter or a little light checker. Again, just cause it looks good, does not make it so.
ok 3 things..
When stuff gets mysterious and really weird, a relay could be doing something funky.
Plenty of good videos on YouTube of how to test those if you haven't taken a tutorial yet.
Oh, and not all thermostats are made the same, even if they look it.
Just my 2 cents,
Andy
ps - flush the heater core as well.

May have a source
So I'm very sure the buzzing issue is a faulty door-jamb sensor. Buzzes the entire time the key is in the ignition but if I pull the key out and turn on the headlights, the buzzing begins again. As if there is a door that is open. The issue is trying to figure out which door it is and how to either fix or bypass it.

you could just pull the buzzer out. I had that issue with mine, faulty door jamb sensor. but that might not be the case. does your interior lights stay on or are they in the off position? as mentioned above check your ground. it's located on the firewall

No Interior Lights
Lights located on the ceiling of the car were long removed before I got the car. Lights in the information cluster and gear selector no longer come on, but the switch does stay in the off position.
