my cb is on the right side of the center concel and the antenna is on the opposite side of the gas door. pics on my build page

has anyone mounted there antenna on a tube roof rack? i have a 10 foot whip that i want to mount and looking for a tube bracket and a heavy duty spring any ideas?

i just did mine, made an antenna bracket out of an old lawnmower blade, it worked out pretty damn good. i screwed the radio to the back of the center console.

I wonder what legal height limit is as you might be nearing the wacking stop light height.

Having my 102" whip mounted by the driver's taillight the tip of the antenna is already at about 12.5' on a stock XJ.

Just mounted my 10 foot metal whip on my roof rack, its on a spring and a tube stud. I got it for free or else I would have bought a fire stick

Same setup for me but im rockin the 10 footer, legal problems? Wont know unless I get pulled over, I dont hit lights or power lines, just trees and drive throughs are going to be fun

I used a similar bracket for the antenna that those used on the rear hatch but set it up front on a bolt under the hood drivers side.

I'm going to do my CB into the overhead console when I get a chance. ATM it is using some heavy duty velcro beside the 4x4 shifter. Don't like it there.
