Hey gang. A guy in my local club gave me a free CB last night at our meet and greet. Just looking for ideas of how/where to mount the unit inside the XJ, and also a good mounting location for the antenna. Planning on a 3 ft. FireStik antenna. I found this mounting bracket that seems pretty well thought out and designed just for the XJ: http://motionoffroad.com/catalog/ind...b64c05525531ba
What do you guys think? And I'd like to see some pics of where you have your unit and antenna mounted so I can get some ideas.
TIA.

Just mounted my 10 foot metal whip on my roof rack, its on a spring and a tube stud. I got it for free or else I would have bought a fire stick

I used a similar bracket for the antenna that those used on the rear hatch but set it up front on a bolt under the hood drivers side.
I'm going to do my CB into the overhead console when I get a chance. ATM it is using some heavy duty velcro beside the 4x4 shifter. Don't like it there.
