thanks for the update! Question, how does a torque converter "go bad"? Does it slowly degenerate or is it an all or nothing kind of thing?

I don't know how the TC goes bad to be honest. Mine is starting to whine. With the age and miles on jeep, i think i pushed the transmission too hard in 4hi for prolonged trips. Im actually going to start researching it more now.

As for my ghost CEL's I am no longer getting them. I think it was all due to my connections being loose at fuse box. So like other have mentioned, check your connections, fuses, and grounds! Thank you all for the help.
