Centered vs offset transmission mount
2000 XJ. 4.0 stock up county , auto trans 242 tc
time for new trans mount. Have a NOS Mopar mount, still has tags on it. Issue is that it is an offset mount and mount on vehicle is a centered mount. As I would much rather use the Mopar than some sag o matic, is there any reason not to drill new holes in the cross member in the appropriate location and use the offset mount? It would mean more holes in the cross member but a lot of them have excess holes anyway.
thanks

But I was thinking you get a crossmember from a '99 and down to make the change.
Cause the offset mount appears to be available and is much cheaper then the centered one. If you could even find a Mopar centered one.
But the big question in my mind is why the change?
Wondering if it has something to do with the exhaust change and going to an LP30 in the '00 and '01.
