Cheap lift and power
I have a welder and some scrap metal. Help me lift my jeep 8 inches. How can i get some extra cheap power? multiple things to make up 50 hp. I actually know the answer to these questions but i want more opinions.

And why would you want 8 inches of lift? Your mall must have damn big speedbumps.

buy fullsize blazer or bronco. take body off frame. put xj body on frame with 8 inch blocks in between. u will then have the 50 extra hp you want and the lift. by far the cheapest way

Build or buy stroker.
Add an Avenger Supercharger.

A few questions for you. I actually am converting my old inline 6 to the 4.2 stroker with 305 pistons. Its only cheap if u do the machine work yourself or if u can find someone who will do it free. How do u hook up the Avenger Supercharger? Do u know a better way to build the stroker?

There's ton's of info on the web about building a stoker, from budget to full-on over-kill. Doing the machining on an engine block is best left to those with the knowledge and tools to do it right. I've never met a DIY guy that had the expertise to machine a block.
Stick around, my 4.6L stroker might be up for grabs again if the current buyer doesn't come through.

Weld a crapload of spacers to the the unibody and coils and make some huge blocks for the rear. Thatll give you 8". I wouldnt ride to the store in it but you could do that dependin on your skill level.
50 HP isnt going to happen from a stock 4.0L. You cant just add intake, exhaust, and a sweet TB spacer. Only real power upgrade would be like already stated stroker and supercharger.

you could build some recovery points and maybe some sliders and a bumper to get you ready for your Cheap 8 inch lift.

not only is that not going to happen but it would be really stupid too do and prolly not even close to be the safest thing around haha. I would just pay a lil extra money to get the correct lift and all that good stuff. as for the HP. the stroker kit and the supercharger is ur best bet. but then again are u gonna be racing this jeep or trying to wheel it?

Lol. I love all these responses. I'm like litterally luaghing and it hurts. So does everyone want to know the trick? Stilts! Lol. It's possible but stupid. Btw. The blocks idea was humorus. Thanks for giving it your all guys. Much appriciated. And also, I can already do wheelies if I got two fat guys on the back and I'm in low four wheel drive.
