its been four days since the last time the error code came on. so far so good. a couple of my exhaust manifold bolts were loose by like a 1/4 of a turn. could that have been the problem?

just wanted to report back on this issue. It has no come back yet since the last time, like I posed, a few of my exhaust bolts were loose. I tighten those bolts. and replaced my IAC housing gasket, and it seemed to do the trick.

This may be unique. The cause of my high idle and P1294 was a PCV that was missing the orifice. Created high vacuum and engine running way lean. $6 part cost me $$$
and months of aggravation. New PCV and line to intake and idling at 600 rpm.
