Default check engine light

I bought my jeep with the check engine light on im working on getin it off so i can get it inspected i did the turn key thing to get the code sequence and it blinks 23 times 3 times then stops 4 times then stops 5 times then stops 5 times then stops then 5 times then stops on the 6th time any help on wat this code means and how to fix it would be great thanks

If I understand your post correctly two code numbers stand out. The first is #34 which idicates a problem in the cruise control circuit and needs to be diagnosed by a qualified tech. The second is #55 which is the end of code output number.

Yea that's wat I thought it was but the kid I bought the truck off of said it was on for something in the trany but I can't find anything wrong with the trany

i have an 01 and it just runs through the numbers and then goes to my mileage but my check engine lights been on for a couple days now. So confused

Yea I've had my jeep for a week and fixed another code but now I got this new one and mine is a 96 so its obd2 if that helps

You said you had a code 34. That's the speed control shorted or open circuit, not the AC clutch (code 33). Unplug the cruise control motor and see if the light goes out. And check for cut or pinched wires.
I'm no electrician so I can't help with these repairs.
