Saw this on NAXJA's Forum. It mounts to your stock bumper, didnt see how much it was but looks pretty cool. I am sure its a lot cheaper than the entire bumper/tire carrier combo.

Yep those are nice ...that's the setup I am going to be getting. I don't really want an entire bumper and such.

that is a really sick set up. only thing i dont like is the d rings, it looks like it bolts up to just the bumper so i would never use those as recovery points, but it is good for looks. i like having the tire outside and not in my safari rack gives me alot more room.

for you guys talking about the recovery points detours system mounts to frame then your bumper is modified to fit around the system....they have a front as well that makes my people ask why my buddy is pullin from his front bumper...lol look at the install youll see what i mean about it im sure the rear is same as front system...your pulling from frame the mounts come through bumper...im pretty sure thats what the guy said n the phone when i ordered mine last week... they also make some rock rails that are frame strentheners as well...they can be winched on and pulled for recovery tooo ive seen it done twice at uwharrie last season

shot i'd use them d-rings all day, they make stout stuff, not just good looking but useful. i think they have one of the best bumper mounting systems on the market.
when i finally get around to doing the body on my xj im going with the backbone and tailbone, less than a grand for both, wooohoooooo

i will most def...it ties in the body where stock mounts are, it wraps arount frame rail though....i know of a guy running one who carries a 35 on it and has been yanked violently from one d ring on it numerous tmes on local trails with us...detours makes great products...if i didnt already have a home built bumper in front i would get the front system...
