Default Cherokee 2001 transmission Problem

Excuse me I do not know english Well

im having problems with my 2001 xj shifting down..

In Computer found the problem (tps)
and I changed (tps) 3 Times the same problem
After the switch Check on computer found (tps) not good

At this point, I would suggest closely inspecting the TPS connector. It wouldn't be a bad idea to go through the engine compartment and unplug every connector, spray it out with contact cleaner, and plug it back in. this includes the connector at the computer.*

I agree with Cruiser54.

When you see a code on the computer, that code is for the entire "circuit", in your situation the throttle position sensor circuit.

So that can involve anything from the TPS itself, the TPS connector(s), all wiring associated with the TPS circuit, and even the computer itself can be responsible, but that is more rare.

One more thing. Stay away from the inexpensive no name brands of sensors for the TPS. They can be of terrible quality. For the TPS, I highly recommend an actual Mopar/Jeep sensor.
