Cherokee blowing fuse #2
My cherokee recently started blowing fuse #2 Radio/Cigar Lighter. This morning I drove it with no problem. I drove it this afternoon replaced the fuse, blew it out again, replaced the relay and fuse, blew it out again. Its the accesory power to my radio, clock, and cigar lighter.
Could it be my ignition switch? I already pulled all of the electronics out to see if that fixed it and no dice. Any advice would be appreciated.

Almost a year ago I installed anew head unit in my explorer ( I know not a Jeep) but when I installed it some wires became exposed and touched meatballs which then proceded to to shut of my dash lights and accessories. Didn't know why for a day. Then took my head unit out and everything came back on and reinstalled properly. I'd check for some exposed wires. Hope that helps!

I have done a lot of things to this jeep but no it just randomly stopped working. The electronics were all screwed up from PO being a dummy. Fuse block was hit with a freaking hammer I think and some of the tabs are broken. All of the fuses were mashed in place, cracked plastic, small fire behind the heater control box melted some wiring. Basically this jeep is an electrical NIGHTMARE.

it sounds like u have a short to ground some where just trace the wires back to the fuse box and replace the broken wire or just tape it up

Have you thought about just buying a new harness and replacing the whole thing since it sounds like it is a mess and you are just going to have more issues down the road?
