well teh 4.5 inch kit from rustys says it will lift actually 5 inches but also if i went with RC i still need sye and cv driveshaft and that puts the bill at 1800 or so. might go slow instead and jus buy 4.5 short arm from rustys then get sye and cv driveshaft, then the spacers and shackles. but i would want a long arm as i will be doing a lot of street drivin for daily driver.

im really going for something will definitly stand out but not be too tall and too expensive i think 6 inches and 33's would do just that but idk... never seen one in person so thats why im like ughhhh dont know if thats big enough cause im used to seeing guys with a 2 inch lifted truck runnin 33's but for a cherokee ti takes 6 inches of lift. haha

Im running RC 4.5" lift and the lower drop Kit. No SYE No extra drive shaft I haven't had a single problem off road, haven't re-geard, Im running 33's haven't had to cut my fenders other than I made the line from the front lights go to the wheel well. With the stock fender flairs they fit fantastic, I am only cutting my fenders this weekend so I can fit 35's and re-gear.

If cost is your biggest issue go with this< http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_4.html >

I did the control arm drop
$189.95 + $655.95 Shipping is $69.95 to utah so $915 shipped (to utah, idk what shipping would be to you but a lot less. Same set up from rusties was near $200 in shipping alone.

just my $0.02

sorry for the late post on this thread, but i saw that you were from Greenville and i didnt know if you going to do the work yourself or what, but if you decide to have a shop do it, becareful about MIX they broke my sway bars and my buddys who has a TJ and it looks like they did something wrong with his SYE kit

this is also a late post on the thread but rusty's products are soft riding good products i love their stuff. i run 6.5" rear and am waiting to lift the front(money needs to come first =[ so its at 5.25" i dont mind the rake tho) and i run 33" tires and cut fenders and love it! i had the full rusty's lift(4.5") before this and my ex gf had the 4.5" full lift from RC and it was well ROUGH! rides like a 1 ton truck still today we ride the same trails and everything and she wheels on her own and it rattle your teeth loose and binds up on wash boards and just slides around everywhere.

also i run no SYE, no extended drive shaft, no Tcase drop, no shims and i have ZERO vibrations. my pinion angle is fine with everything stock, and i have run it like this for quite some time now.

I'll let you do all the comparisons and such to find out what is the better deal for you but I thought I'd drop IRO into the mix. I really like Iron Rock Offroad stuff. My buddy got their 6.5" long arm lift and it is awesome. Their customer service is top quality too.

Check it out,

I would say go with the rough country lift. I am running a lift from them and i know a few people that live around me that are running the 6.5 long arm set up from RC and they love it. Im only running a 3in but getting ready to go with RC's 4.5.

Sorry I forgot about this thread.

These pictures are before I took my fenders off, and cut them up. I also now have 33" tires, in the pictures they are 31" I'll see if the weather will allow me to get some new ones.
