Try the 87048 as the offset of the factory pipe thru the muffler will cause you headaches.
You can get a straight glasspack to work, but you will have to be creative to keep the system from rubbing and rattling.

I looked at doing a glass pack with mine, however it looked to be a bit too much work since I didn't want to replace the tail pipe (it would have to be bent at a shop) I tried a straight pipe for a few weeks, but it was just too loud. Glass pack didn't sound that great to me ether.
I instead installed a center in off set out Merit "VX Performance muffler" its about as loud as a Flowmaster 40, but half the price, same baffle design.
Sounds much different in person, more V8 like sound, but here is a video of it>>>
Just another option that is available to you.
Good luck.

Yes they do I have mine installed and both ends were angled so it can be mounted offset. You just have to go to a parts store and ask them to look through what they have and you will get what you need.
i think there is only 1 length for the 2.25 but you need center in Offset out.

I bought a 2.25'' cherrybomb glasspack in the 29.5'' length. I just cut and welded the cat to the front of it and put a turndown on the back. I had to make a new hanger for it, but it sounds awesome and it cost under $50.00!!

The day after I bought my '87, I went to the muffler shop and had that horrible glass pack Cherry Bomb "muffler" and straight tailpipe tip cut off and thrown away. Had them put on a quiet turbo muffler with a turndown tip on the end of the tailpipe.
Much better. The Jeep had sounded like a piece of junk with that glasspack on it.
