He has the 2.5L so I doubt he has an ax15.
I would personally go with an LSx motor, but a mild built 350 is good.

the 80s model stock 350 doesnt put out to much more horse power than a stock 4.0 i think the axles would handle it till you put big tires on it

yeah i wouldnt worry about axles till you lift it and put big tires on it. when i do mine im going to get the front and rears ends of a old chevy and put them under the jeep so the tires poke out. but im not sure if ill be able to use them or not yet

chevy axles wont work unless you swap your t-case to a pass. side front output.

gonna be ford or jeep

Keep It Jeep.

find an old wagoneer. Take the 360 and the TF727, mate it up to a Dana 300 Tcase. Now you'll need a pass drop front end.
Easy they came with matching Dana 44s, pass drop front end.

You could even put the 360 in front of an AW4 with an NP231 and keep the stock axle combo. If your Jeep is starting life as a 4 popper, I bet you have 410s in your axles.

Now don't quote me here but I do believe that the AMC 360 and the 4.0 share the same motor mount position. I'm pretty sure though.
