I like your adjuster tool! I built one for mine at the whopping cost of $0. I have lots of junk laying around haha. What did you do for the other side of it? I welded on a broken 1/2" extension so I could just plug my TQ wrench in to it.

oh.. well i hope it will be strong enough for that much torque might have to have it welded after all then.. hmm
edit: i read now yes a minimum of 75 ft/lbs up to 150/200

Ive just learned just remove one side adjuster that way just install carrier and re torque that way adjustement is not affected.

everything came out without any trouble or hard times, the metal shavings from the worn cross shaft pin have gone all over the place and are in each little tiny corner even around the adjusters. today im going to give it a good cleaning, the carrier cone bearings are not that worn that they fall apart but there is clearly play and you can hear and feel the grinding of the metal shavings inside the bearing while spinning them.

btw the adjuster tool is holding up good so far

you are probably right
my theory is jeep is from 94 and if i do this right it will last another 24 years probably even longer if maintained right, and honestly i dont even know the benefits of those two differentials you mentioned. im not fixing an off road jeep everything is stock she aint pretty but gets me where i need to go and im still beating the price of a shop.
got the dremel bit with cut-off wheel today with a few extra blades to get the bearings cones off.

first bearing was a little harder to do for me but second one came clean off with one nice cut. i didnt had a dremel so i used a drill with the dremel bits and ruined a few some just completely broke, i think the dremel spins at a way higher speed that would of been better.
