Clarification and advice please.
Well, the time has come for the cracked header in the Jeep to get fixed. I have my new APN header in the shed, along with new motor mounts (the stock ones that are 20 years old with over 200K miles on them prob should be replaced).
Anyways, I needed some clearing up with a question I cant seem to get a definite answer for. When I go to change the passenger side mount, do I need to remove the entire oil filter adapter? I've heard taking the oil filter itself off is neccesary, but mixed answers with the adapter.
Also, any tips for the header job would be great. I've done a rad swap, valve cover gasket fix, heater core flush, and tune up, but this header job is really scaring me a little. It isn't like I haven't studied how-tos to the dot, but I just always think Im gonna f something up.
Thanks for all help guys!
Btw, while Im down there, I wanna check my flex plate to TC bolts to see if they are loose. I have a rattle/knock that sounds like its coming from the bellhousing area, and I know those bolts are notorious for getting loose. Anyone have a write-up or explaination on this process? And should I use some kind of loc-tite on the bolts if they're loose?
