Default Clutch fork issues

So the clutch fork on our cherokee decided to detach itself from the inside of the bell housing... This may sound incredibly lazy, but does anyone know any way to fix this without dropping the tranny? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think you will have to remove trans... If the fork managed to jump out, there must be something else going on in there. Damaged release brg, or failing pressure plate????

My dad was thinking that could be part of the problem. We just did the clutch, but something might have been defective. At the very least I'm pretty sure the retainer clip for the fork is worn out or broken.

Looks like we're gonna have to pull the trans to fix it... Does anyone know if the clutch fork is only supposed to go in one way? Not sure if that might have been part of the problem...

Only fit one way sounds like clip on ball broke ,pressure from slave should keep it tight on bell housing ?

Where can a person buy the retaining clip on the pivot ball?

Summit https://www.summitracing.com/parts/c...yABEgJpIvD_BwE

Quadratec sells it too.
You can probably find it at a dealer since it looks like it spans a lot of years and models.
