Clutch Master / Slave Installation Questions?
Ok so I discovered my clutch master cylinder is leaking at the tiniest rate I have ever seen. No fluid dripping on the carpet, but you can see the boot around the rod from the pedal is a bit wet.
Decided it might be easier to replace the Master and Slave at the same time unit with a pre-bled system from RockAuto and it will be here on Tuesday.
Is there anything I need to be aware of when installing the slave?
Instructions I have read say remove the two bolts holding it in place, remove the slave cylinder. Do the opposite to reinstall.
I am only asking because I have never done this before and the photo of the assembly from Rockauto shows the slave as having a strap as if it is holding in the rod, or at the least holding a plastic cap in place on the rod.
Can the rod or cap come out and get 'lost' inside the bell housing????
Here is the pic....
If I know what can possibly go awry, perhaps I can prevent it from happening.
THANKS

I have one I'm installing today.
I got mine from Dodge. It's a hassle free design and I love it.
It's pre bled so all you do it bolt it in and go.
And no I've never seen the push rod pop off and fall in the bell housing.
You leave the strap on and when you use it for the first time the strap separates and thats it you leave it.
