I wouldn't recommend it under any circumstances. The thin metal that most hose clamps are made of wouldn't hold up the forces being put out by the spring, and you do NOT want that thing to pop on you, especially if it's when you're putting it in. I've seen wayward flying springs do some serious damage.

Yeah NOT a good idea....

Anyways said I would update after today, and so far all I have gotten done is the rear. Full packs and shocks. Took a bit longer than I had planned, so I am driving around like some sort of muscle car......looks pretty ridiculous.

So the front is planned up for tomorrow, and I should have it done.

Ill post again with what worked for me, and Ill be sure to take pictures to add to the few I have of the rear.

alright spacers and stuff are on.

How the hell do I get the track bar back onto the axle, and the control arm lined up to get it back on, on the pass. side??

I have "mechanics" around but no one seems to want to give me any tips. Wow what a great college.

Alright Forget the last ?'s. A homebrew idea worked out alright. I didnt use compressors, and obviously removed the lca's and track bar. I did manage to take pics so i will hopefully toss up a writeup soon.

Was pretty easy and that was my first lift.
