I'm in the process of trying to fix an issue with the heating system. Whenever I turn on the heat, icy cold air blasts from below the glove box. I see a hole when I look under there, and that's where its coming from. I was wondering if anyone knows what is supposed to go on that hole? Thanks
Yeah, I was wondering about that and was expecting to see a loose connector tucked up in there somewhere. I've got a '98 as well, so thing should be the same (or at least were the same before someone messed yours up). Here are a few pictures that might be of help. You may need to trace those cut wires back to the big green connector to undo what someone hacked up before.
Also, is your heater blend door actuated by cable or stepper motor?
Somebody got creative instead of replacing the resistor pack. Rock Auto might carry a new connector that you can splice back in. Looks like the wires you want are right above the red circle in your first picture.
Alright thanks for your help folks, I finally figured it out. I just had to trace the wires higher up and I found the original colors. C
onnected them to the resistor and problem solved. now I have all 4 settings on my ac/heat.
